Information Weaver was a singleton pup and he seems to know he is special. While I did "import" a couple Cocker puppy friends, Bridget and Sparkles, to be playmates for Weaver when he was 6-8 weeks of age, he just seems to know he is the "one and only" and has the attitude to go with that. Like his grandmother Siri before him, he figures everything centers around him. Weaver loves everyone. He will put his paws up on you, look you straight in the face and "talk" to you. Although currently still officially in my name, as of Jan. 2005 Weaver now lives with Amber Welch and Jeff Powers in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia and will eventually move to a co-ownership. They both just love Weaver to bits. Amber and Jeff, like myself, enjoy doing a variety of doggie activities and are already very active with Weaver in agility, obedience, in the show ring and on the trail. Weaver is turning out to be a very promising boy in harness. He was a natural in harness from a very young age. I started out training him beside his grandmother Siri when he was just 4 months old. Right from the beginning and even when I moved him to running on the bike there was no hesitation, he just wanted to run. He loves being in lead and will run there either with someone beside him or all by himself. He will also hold the line tight by himself while we hooked up the rest of the team. I'm very excited to see how this boy will continue to develope in harness. |
