Information Shawly, now called Navaha by her new family - Colleen and Rob Wolfe, is the only girl from the Dances With Wolves litter. Black Shawl in the movie was the quiet, but wise wife of Kicking Bird in the movie. I really liked this character in the movie so I knew that this would be the girl's name in the litter. However, unlike her movie character, Shawly is very talkative and has a non-stop wagging tail. Shawly also loves her canine "brother" is Evander who is out of Disco and Star. This "racey" looking girl will take a long time to mature but I remember her mom, Jive, being referred to as a sting bean on sticks at 6 months of age so I've learned to be patient and I'm really looking forward to watching Shawly mature. :) |
