I'd like to encourage everyone to not just come to the National but to also take some time either before or after the National to travel around this wonderful Province with its incredible scenery and historical sites. On the "Explore Nova Scotia" page I've listed just a few of the wonderful sites this Province has to offer. The "What's Happening" pages give a list of events happening around Halifax and Nova Scotia the week prior and after the National. The Nova Scotia Tourism website will give you more information about places to visit.

The Cape Breton Kennel Club holds 4 shows and obedience trials the weekend prior to the National so if you want to come early it is a great starting of point. From there you can explore the incredible Island of Cape Breton which includes the world renown Cabot Trail. The other area of the Province that is also a favourite among visitors to the Province is a trip down along the South Shore which includes Peggy's Cove and a number of lovely little villages along the coast with great places to eat and to shop. Finally, while in Halifax be sure to plan a visit along the waterfront, to Pier 21, the Public Gardens and my personal favourite place in the City, Point Pleasant Park. Again these are just a few of the highlights of this wonderful Province. Visit the Nova Scotia Tourism site for other places to see.
