Karen Ramstead Presentation "Tales of the Trail" 7:00pm Friday, Aug. 29th, 2008, Quality Inns and Suites, Parkland Banquet Room Karen Ramstead has run her CKC registered NorthWapiti Siberian Huskies in the 1,000+ Iditarod Sled Dog race every year since 2000, successfully completing the race in 2001, 2004, 2006 and 2008. Her team has always consisted only of purebred Siberian Huskies, several of them being Canadian Kennel Club Champions, even Group placers. Their 2008 finish time was the third fastest in Iditarod history for a purebred Siberian Husky team. Karen is an exciting speaker and story teller. Her 1 1/2 to 2 hour presentation will be sure to include many stories that will bring both laughter and tears to her audience. Her thousands of miles on the trail with her Siberians also make her one of the most knowledgeable people in the Country as to what is structurally and mentally required in a Siberian for it to be capable of doing what it was originally bred to do. Although Karen's presentation is called "Tales from the Trail" it is much more then just a bunch of trail stories. It includes numerous stack and moving shots of the dogs and she is always happy to answer specific structural questions.
